Personal information and scientific background

Dr. Luca Medda is a Post-Doc at the Brussels Innovation Centre in Procter and Gamble. He obtained his Master degree at the University of Cagliari, Italy, with a final project entitled: “Synthesis and Characterization of Microporous silica (MCM22); catalytic tests for acetals production”. After a research fellowship of 2 years on synthesis and characterization of biocatalysts for biodiesel production, he started his PhD project at the University of Cagliari under Prof. Maura Monduzzi and Prof. Andrea Salis supervision. During his PhD, Luca was a guest researcher in Materials and Surface Science Institute at the University of Limerick, Ireland. He finished his PhD in chemical and pharmaceutical sciences and technologies in 2011 with a thesis entitled “Ion specific effects on charged interfaces”. After his PhD, Luca was working as a post-doctoral researcher on the synthesis of controlled release systems for biochemical applications.
