Dr. Joana Domingues is Portuguese, born in Lisbon and is a Post-Doctoral Marie Curie fellow at the Brussels Innovation Centre in Procter and Gamble. She is a proficient speaker in Portuguese, English and Italian.
Joana obtained her Bachelor and Master degrees at the New University of Lisbon, Faculty of Science and Technology (FCT-UNL), with a final project entitled: “Spectroscopy studies on conservation issues in modern and contemporary paintings” developed during a LPP Erasmus program at University of Perugia, Italy. She then started her PhD project at the University of Florence with the supervision of Prof. Baglioni and Prof. Rodorico Giorgi. She completed her PhD in sciences for the conservation of cultural heritage in 2015 with a thesis entitled “Innovative gels for the removal of unwanted layers from painted artifacts”.
